PIANO AND VIOLIN
"Jamie is currently teaching at-home lessons on both piano and violin for my 7 year old daughter and she is an absolute joy! Her teaching style and demeanor are ideal for young children - you can tell she has experience working with this age range and she makes it fun for her using different games and child-appropriate teaching methods. It's taken my daughter some time to find something she enjoys, and she looks forward to her lessons every week. She works with adults too! I've taken a few lessons with Jamie as will to dust off some rusty piano skills from many years ago and it has resurged my passion for playing. So grateful to have found her!"

"Jamie has been an amazing music teacher for my two children. She is charismatic, and her sense of tranquility makes the classes enjoyable for my children. My daughter is 5 years old and her patience along with her positive composure helps the session be productive. I love the way she addresses her techniques during interaction towards my children who are different ages and characters. My son enjoys learning with Jamie, for him every class is full of pleasure and happiness. "So happy we found Jamie! My son expressed interest in learning violin so I set up trial lessons with a few music studios and luckily found Jamie through a recommendation. She is very easy going and positive. I've been so impressed with the amount of learning and playing my son has gained in just the few months he's been with her. Jamie's lessons are fun and challenging but always at the right pace. My son looks forward to his lessons with her each week. Highly recommend Jamie to anyone who is interested in learning violin!"

"I can highly recommend Jamie Wright as a piano teacher. I decided to take up piano after 60 years away from playing the flute and needless to say my musical aptitude was beyond rusty. Initially I started with a company that required weekly lessons for 30 minutes with no flexibility, and though I liked the teachers it did not work for me. I find Jamie to be very encouraging, pacing the lessons to my (slowly) increasing ability. She is patient but also gives me a little push. I am enjoying the piano which is my ultimate goal."

"Jamie has been a true joy and pleasure to work with. My daughter Maddy absolutely loves having lessons with Jamie every week. She’s learned so much over the course of the last few months in her 30 minute lessons. Jamie focuses on connecting with her student at his/her respective level and making playing the piano fun. She teaches notes, tunes, correct way of using the right fingers to play the right keys while teaching new notes and songs. Maddy loves learning new notes and songs each week while practicing her piano skills. I highly recommend Jamie. She is professional and a true delight to work with. My daughter has had an amazing experience learning to play the piano thanks to Jamie!!!"

"Few sessions in, Jamie has asked what I'm interested in music wise. She is so tentative, gives great guidance towards music and is so kind and sweet .. I'm learning music production for multiple genres initially techno music (as I DJ). Highly recommend her to anyone learning the piano or music in general . Very knowledgeable and easy to work with! "Ms. Jamie is everything I'd hoped for in a violin teacher. Her musical talent is only matched by her incredible patience. She's currently teaching my 3 children (ages 4, 6, and 10) and meets each one at their level. I remember when we were looking for a teacher I was prepared to "try out" several teachers, but I knew she was "The One" at our first lesson. I love the way she teaches: she challenges without pressure, and figures out a way to keep their interest, the perfect balance of taking it seriously and also having fun! My kids have grown leaps and bounds in just a couple months of lessons. Whatever my expectations were at the onset, they have been exceeded, and I'm looking forward to many more months and years of lessons with Ms. Jamie. She is a treasure and we are so grateful for the hours she's spent sharing her violin passion with my kids."

"My daughter has had a wonderful experience with Jamie! We tried a few other teachers who didn’t seem to understand how fast or how slow a five year old needs to go. From the very beginning, Jamie understood how to make the lesson move at a pace that was appropriate for my daughter and made it fun and enjoyable, my daughter loves Jamie and loves practicing her piano now, I’m so impressed with how fast she has her reading real music and ear training as well. As a former musician and music educator, I really appreciate the attention to correct position, bow hold, technique, and to note reading and rhythm development. I love that she mixes songs that the kids want to learn (currently the Harry Potter theme song) as well as classical fundamentals. "In 30 minutes, I learned a huge amount! and not only that, but it has stuck with me, even though I do not own this instrument and have therefore not practiced anything I was taught a week ago. I still remember everything, which is huge in my addled and sieve-like mom brain. The one possible critique I do have is that Ms. Wright loves what she does so much and is so passionate about it that she can occasionally speak a little too quickly. But overall, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend her."

Because of her experience, passion, and patience, she was able to teach me how to begin reading basic notes, play "pizzicato," and use the bow on one of her violins. "I had my first lesson today at her home studio. It was a great experience, she was quite patient with my complete lack of any skills and worked to correct everything from my footwork to balance to the way I held the instrument on my shoulder. By the end I actually felt like this is something I can do! Her studio space was wonderful, high ceilings and even my sound was bearable :) Hearing her play in the space was inspiring. I am looking forward to going back next week."
